Baghdad/NINA/- Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi affirmed that the government is committed to combating corruption and will show no leniency or favoritism towards corrupt individuals.

His media office stated in a press release that Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi received today, Monday, the head of the "Abshir Ya Iraq" parliamentary bloc, Ali Hatem al-Hasnawi, and members of the Alliance.

The statement added that the meeting addressed several issues related to the health, electricity, and services sectors, job creation, agriculture, and ways to support these objectives through coordination between the legislative and executive branches.

The Prime Minister reiterated the government's commitment to combating corruption, emphasizing that there will be no leniency or favoritism towards corrupt individuals. He called upon the members of Parliament to fully exercise their oversight role in support of the government's reform and anti-corruption program.

Al-Zaydi highlighted the importance of enacting the necessary legislation to complete the government's program, including the law establishing the Food and Drug Authority. He affirmed the government's commitment to providing financial allocations for vital and strategic projects that have exceeded 80% completion, and to increasing budget allocations to pay farmers their dues.

For their part, the head and members of the "Good News for Iraq" bloc affirmed their support for and endorsement of the government's steps in the areas of financial and administrative reform, development, and combating corruption. / End
