Baghdad/NINA/- Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi confirmed the existence of important plans to achieve economic reform and address the electricity problem.

A statement by his media office indicated that al-Zaidi received, on Monday, the head of the political body of the Services Alliance, Mohammed Sahib al-Daraji, along with members of the Alliance, where they discussed several issues in various sectors.

He pointed to the government's work and efforts to provide the best conditions for developing national products, in light of the draft law for the Food, Drug, and Medical Supplies Authority, which will represent an important addition to achieving food and drug security and supporting local products.

According to the statement, al-Zaidi confirmed the existence of important plans to achieve economic reform, address the electricity problem, support and expand investment, and work on regulating foreign labor in a way that ensures job opportunities for the local workforce.

For their part, members of the Services Alliance affirmed their support and endorsement of the Prime Minister's steps in combating corruption and achieving economic reforms, as well as their support for the government's efforts to enact important legislation. /End
