Baghdad / NINA /- Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani and Kurdistan Region President Nechirvan Barzani affirmed their rejection of the attacks targeting several Iraqi cities, including the Kurdistan Region, and their refusal to allow Iraqi territory to be used as a launching pad for attacks on neighboring countries. They also expressed their support for all steps aimed at strengthening security and stability in the region.
According to a statement by al-Sudani's media office, the Prime Minister and the President of the Kurdistan Region discussed the latest security developments in the region due to the ongoing military operations and their repercussions on Iraq during a telephone call.
Both sides stressed the necessity of confronting current challenges by unifying the positions and discourse of national forces to preserve the country's stability and sovereignty and enhance national security. /End
