Communications and Media Commission warns against incitement to disrupt the operations of security and civil institutions
Spokesperson for the Communications and Media Commission, Haider Najm, told the official news agency that "the Media Broadcasting Code—specifically Section Two, Article 1—prohibits the broadcast of any content that incites violence or hatred, or undermines public order. This includes incitement against security forces and civil institutions, or calls to disrupt their operations."
He added that "through its media monitoring system, the Commission continues to track media content, identify and document violations, and take regulatory action against non-compliant media outlets in accordance with existing regulations. Furthermore, the Commission provides evidence and recordings to the relevant authorities, following established legal frameworks."
He further explained that "the Commission addresses media violations within the scope of its mandated authority and in line with current regulatory bylaws and guidelines—by monitoring and documenting infringing content and implementing the regulatory measures stipulated by those regulations."
He noted that "with regard to judicial matters, the Authority cooperates with the competent authorities by providing technical opinions—along with relevant recordings, evidence, and information—upon their request, in support of their legal proceedings."/ End
