Baghdad /NINA /-President of the Republic Nizar Amedi stressed the importance of prioritizing dialogue and understanding among political forces and intensifying consultations on national issues in a way that contributes to strengthening stability and meeting the aspirations of Iraqis.

A presidential statement said that President Amedi received Sheikh Jamal Al-Dhari, Secretary-General of the Iraqi National Project, at Al-Salam Palace in Baghdad on Thursday.

According to the statement, the meeting discussed developments in the country and the current challenges. Amedi emphasized the need to intensify consultations among political forces to reach common visions, while underscoring the importance of respecting the Constitution and complying with its provisions, as well as safeguarding the status of constitutional institutions and their role in upholding the rule of law and protecting the democratic system.

For his part, Sheikh Jamal Al-Dhari expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the President for the warm reception, commending his commitment to engaging with various national forces and figures and listening to their views in the service of Iraq and its people./End
